Top Ten Factories

The Ten Factories Behind Most of Our Catalogue

The widest range and the fullest paperwork are not the same factory. Here are both columns.

385,341 items in stock 5,233 factories 1 carton minimum order $0.84/kg freight from

Open prices per unit and per carton. No registration, no sales rep, minimum order total 2,000 CNY (≈ $313), no company required — you can buy as an individual. Both prices — per unit and per carton — are open before you order.

Our register holds 5,233 factories, all sourced through the Shantou hub in Guangdong. Ten of them account for an unusually large share of the catalogue, from 1,287 products down to 415 each: Dongyang Shanju Crafts, Lezhi Toys, Aibao Toy Factory, Zhejiang Xingna Crafts, Yuqiang Toy Factory, Shouban Zhan Dou Shi, Guangzhou Chu Xue Ying Toy Factory, Shantou Gongfu Wantong Technology, Jiasheng Factory and Mingtao Toys. Above them sits our manufacturing partner, Yifeng Group (艺丰集团) of Chenghai, which is a factory group rather than a single plant. The important caveat is in the last column of the table: eight of these ten have no factory test document on file with us at all. Largest range is not the same thing as best documented, and we publish both numbers rather than the flattering one.

Search for the biggest toy manufacturers in China and you will get lists compiled from press releases. This is a different kind of list: the ten factories that actually supply the most items in our own catalogue, counted from our register.

They run from 1,287 products down to 415. One of them spans 24 categories; another makes things in only 3.

And then there is the column we would rather not print. Eight of these ten have no test document on file with us at all. The factory with the widest range is not the factory with the fullest paperwork, and anyone building a range from the top of this list should know that before they start.

What this page shows:

  • Our manufacturing partner, and why it sits above the list rather than in it
  • The ten largest suppliers by measured product count, with prices, breadth and documentation
  • Why we counted by factory number and not by factory name
  • What «largest» does and does not mean

Our manufacturing partner

Yifeng Group (艺丰集团), Chenghai

Before the list, the company that sits above it.

Yifeng Group (艺丰集团) is our manufacturing partner in Chenghai, Shantou — the district that is one of China’s principal toy manufacturing bases. It is not a single plant but a group: Shifeng Culture Development Co., Ltd, founded 1992, running more than 35,000 m² of production area with an annual output of USD 60 M; Huabo Smart Living Technology Co., Ltd, established 2018 and holding national CCC certification; and AJT Testing Services Limited, founded 2007, a product testing laboratory of its own. The group keeps a permanent 15,000 m² showroom in Shantou with more than 500,000 toy samples on display.

It appears above the table rather than in it because it is a different kind of entity: design, tooling, production, testing and freight inside one group, rather than one factory making one kind of thing. The full account is on our factory partner page.

The uncomfortable part

Eight of Ten Have Nothing on File

Read the last column again. Of the ten suppliers with the most products in our catalogue, eight have no factory test document in our records at all. One reaches 4.3%, one reaches 1.7%, and only Zhejiang Xingna Crafts, at 77.5%, is documented the way a buyer selling into a regulated market needs.

We should say precisely what this does and does not mean. It does not mean those eight factories make unsafe goods or that their products have never been tested. It means no test report has reached our records, which usually happens because a factory selling mainly into the domestic market has never had to produce one.

What it does mean is practical: if you build a range by walking down this list, you are building it out of undocumented goods, and the paperwork will have to be arranged afterwards at your cost and on your timeline. Selecting for documentation instead gives you a much shorter list and a much easier import. Which is the right trade depends on where you sell — the detail is in our articles on which toys are actually tested and why shipments get held.

We publish this column because the alternative is publishing only the first one, and a list of our biggest suppliers with the documentation quietly omitted would be an advertisement rather than information.

Method

Why We Counted by Number and Not by Name

The first version of this table was wrong, and the way it was wrong is worth explaining because it is a trap anyone working with supplier data will meet.

We counted by factory name. The result contained one company three times over, and a factory whose median price came out at ¥0.19 — nineteen fen, a figure no toy has ever cost.

The cause: 184 factory names in our register have more than one record behind them. Different companies share a name, or the same company was entered twice from different sources. Counting by name pooled all of their products into each record and produced arithmetic about a company that does not exist.

Counting by the factory number instead — the identifier that each product actually carries — gives the table above. Same data, correct answer. We mention it because we published the wrong version to nobody and would rather explain the correction than pretend the first attempt never happened.

About us

Who Is Writing This

OPTTOYSCHINA is a wholesale platform operated by OPTTOYSCHINA LLP, Kazakhstan: catalog, requests and product selection. The seller — invoice, payment, export, documents and claims — is our manufacturing partner Yifeng Group, China. The catalogue holds 385,341 items from 5,233 factories, with the price published per piece and per carton, the carton quantity and the box dimensions stated, and the maker named on every card. The minimum is one factory carton of one model; minimum order total 2,000 CNY (≈ $313).

Our manufacturing partner is Yifeng Group (艺丰集团) in Chenghai, Shantou. The group has worked in Chenghai since 1992; its first plant, Shifeng Culture Development Co., Ltd, dates from that year and runs more than 35,000 m² of production area with an annual output of USD 60 M. AJT Testing Services Limited, founded in 2007, is historically linked with the group’s founding family and works in the same Chenghai ecosystem; the group keeps a permanent 15,000 m² showroom in Shantou with more than 500,000 toy samples. See our factory partner page.

Every batch is checked line by line with photo and video before the cartons are taped, and transit ranges are published for 62 destinations.

Honestly

What «Largest» Means Here, and What It Does Not

Largest in our catalogue, not in China. This is a count of items on our own shelves. A factory that supplies us with 1,287 products may be a modest company with a broad range, and an enormous manufacturer we do not buy from does not appear at all. We have no basis for a national ranking and are not making one.

Not a quality judgement. We have not compared these factories on quality, delivery or defect rate, and nothing here should be read as a recommendation of one over another.

We do not publish each factory’s address. Our register records all 5,233 factories under the Shantou hub, which is where we source — it is not a verified registered address for each company, and we are not going to present it as one. Where a company’s name contains a different city, that tells you about the name, not about a location we have checked.

And the counts move. Product counts change as factories add and withdraw lines. The figures here were measured on 24 September 2026; the live count for each factory is on its own storefront page, which is linked from the table and always current.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the top toy manufacturers in China?
We cannot answer that for the industry, and anyone who does is quoting press material. We can answer it for our own shelves. The ten factories with the most items in our catalogue are Dongyang Shanju Crafts (1,287 products), Lezhi Toys (778), Aibao Toy Factory (708), Zhejiang Xingna Crafts (578), Yuqiang Toy Factory (537), Shouban Zhan Dou Shi (510), Guangzhou Chu Xue Ying Toy Factory (470), Shantou Gongfu Wantong Technology (464), Jiasheng Factory (463) and Mingtao Toys (415). All are sourced through the Shantou hub.
Does the biggest factory make the best toys?
Our numbers say nothing about quality and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What they do say is that range and documentation come apart: of these ten suppliers, eight have no test certificate on file with us, one has 4.3% coverage, one has 1.7%, and only Zhejiang Xingna Crafts reaches 77.5%. If you sell into a market with enforcement, the last column matters more than the first.
How many factories do you work with?
5,233 are in our register, all sourced through the Shantou hub in Guangdong. Every one of them has a live storefront page listing its own products, and the maker is named on every product card. The median factory in the register supplies a few dozen products, not thousands — which is the normal shape of this industry and the subject of our article on who actually makes your toys.
Why did you count by factory number and not by name?
Because 184 factory names in our register have more than one record behind them, and counting by name merges unrelated companies that happen to share one. When we first tried it that way the result contained a factory with a median price of ¥0.19, which is not a price any toy has. Counting by the factory number fixes it, and the table on this page is the corrected version.
Which of them has the widest range of categories?
Shantou Gongfu Wantong Technology, with products in 24 of our categories from 464 items, and Guangzhou Chu Xue Ying Toy Factory with 19 categories from 470. At the other end Jiasheng Factory makes 463 products across only 3 categories — a specialist rather than a generalist. Breadth and depth are different strategies and both are represented at the top of this list.
Can I order directly from one of these factories?
You order through us, and the terms are the same for every factory in the catalogue: one carton of one model, minimum order total 2,000 CNY (≈ $313), the price published per piece and per carton. Mixing models from several of these factories in one consignment costs nothing extra, because freight is charged on the consignment rather than on the number of suppliers in it.
Who is your own manufacturing partner?
Yifeng Group (艺丰集团), in Chenghai, Shantou. It is a group rather than a single plant — its first factory, Shifeng Culture Development, dates from 1992 and runs more than 35,000 m² with an annual output of USD 60 M, and the group also owns the AJT testing laboratory, founded 2007. That is why it appears above the table rather than inside it: it is a different kind of entity from a single supplier.
