Toy Wholesaler — How to Choose One, and What We Show Up Front
Three kinds of toy wholesaler, four things every one of them should show before money moves — and where we stand on each.
Open prices per unit and per carton. No registration, no sales rep, minimum order total 2,000 CNY (≈ $313), no company required — you can buy as an individual. Both prices — per unit and per carton — are open before you order.
«Toy wholesaler» covers three very different businesses, and most disappointing first orders come from not knowing which of the three you are talking to.
A local stockist holds goods in your own country and sells from the shelf: fast, small quantities, the highest price per piece. An import wholesaler buys containers from China and resells them: a better price, but a fixed range and a minimum that follows his container, not your shop. A factory-direct source sells what the factories make, at the factory-level price, and the question is only how small an order it accepts and who is responsible when something goes wrong.
This page is about telling them apart, and about the four things any toy wholesaler — including us — should show you before you pay.
Who is who
Three Kinds of Toy Wholesaler
| Local stockist | Import wholesaler | Factory-direct | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where the goods are | In your country | In his warehouse, after his container | At the factories in China |
| Price per piece | Highest | Middle | Factory level |
| Range | What is on the shelf | What he chose to import | What the factories make |
| Minimum order | Smallest | Set by his stock | Set by the factory carton |
| Delivery | Days | Days to weeks | Production plus freight |
None of the three is wrong. A shop that needs ten pieces by Friday needs a stockist. A shop that wants the factory price and can plan a few weeks ahead is better served from the source — provided the source accepts an order the size of a shop, not the size of a container.
Before you pay
Four Things Any Toy Wholesaler Should Show Before You Pay
1. The price, per piece and per carton, without an enquiry form. A price that appears only after you leave your contacts is a price that depends on who is asking. Ours is on every product card, visible without registration.
2. The minimum order, stated as a number. «Low MOQ» means nothing until it is a quantity. Ours: one factory carton of one model, order total from 2,000 CNY. Twenty models at one carton each is a valid order.
3. The factory, named. If the maker of the goods is a secret, so is the person responsible for a defect. Our catalogue names the factory on the product card — 5,233 of them.
4. The certificate field, empty when nothing was supplied. Across our catalogue 44,336 items carry at least one test certificate on file from the factory that is not marked invalid. Where a card shows nothing, nothing was supplied — an empty field is honest, a borrowed report is not.

Where We Stand Among Toy Wholesalers
We are the factory-direct kind, built for orders the size of a shop. OPTTOYSCHINA is a wholesale platform operated by OPTTOYSCHINA LLP, Kazakhstan: catalogue, requests and product selection. The seller — invoice, payment, export, documents and claims — is our manufacturing partner Yifeng Group, China.
Our own offices are in Yiwu, Shantou and Guangzhou. Goods from several factories come to one warehouse in China, are checked line by line with photo and video before the cartons are taped, and travel as one consignment with one commercial invoice and one packing list.
What we are not: a local stockist. Production to order runs 15–30 days, up to 45 in peak season, then 3–5 days for consolidation and acceptance in China, then freight. If you need goods on a shelf this week, a stockist in your own country is the right call.
