How buying through OPTTOYSCHINA works
More details: Catalogue items — how an order is built
Choose children’s toys for a shop in a Amman mall, a wholesale business, an online store on a Jordanian marketplace, or for distribution across Jordan, from the catalogue of Chenghai (Shantou) and Yiwu factories. Each product card shows the price per piece and per carton, the pieces per carton and the manufacturer. Build an order from different items from 2,000 CNY in total; each item in full factory cartons. For a large quantity of one model, send the item number and the order quantity — the seller’s team in China confirms the production run, lead time and price.
The 2,000 CNY minimum applies to the value of the goods. Delivery, customs clearance, taxes and the documents required are calculated separately. The quotation shows what the costs consist of and the total for the agreed scope of supply, line by line, so you can see the landed cost per piece before you commit.

More details: What to send for a quote: a photo or drawing, the quantity, your logo, packaging requirements, whether you have your own mould, and the delivery city
A full technical brief is not needed for the first request.
For a first quote send: a photo, a drawing, a link to the catalogue item or a description; the order quantity; your logo file and where it should go; what you need from the packaging; the changes you need; whether you already have your own mould; and the delivery address in Amman. Mould data and project files — if you have them.
Indicative quantities start from 1,000 units per model. The minimum order for your product is confirmed after the factory reviews the specifications.
Sample. A paid sample is made within 7 days when the required mould is ready. For a new product or a modified mould, the sample timing is set after the technical review. The production run starts after you approve the sample. Sample production and shipping are quoted separately. Whether a sample qualifies for a customs-duty exemption in Jordan is checked against the applicable customs requirements before dispatch; it is not automatic. Any applicable clearance charges are confirmed separately.
Timing. Production of a confirmed run — 5–25 days depending on the order quantity. Development of a new model, changes to a model and mould making come before the run and are scheduled after the review.
Documents for a private-label run. Before the run starts we assess how changes to the brand, the packaging, the materials, the construction, the size or the function affect safety, marking and whether the test reports already held still apply. Whether further testing and documents are needed, and how much, follows from that check and is agreed before the order is confirmed.

| Sea | The sea transit between the ports confirmed in the quotation is set out there, according to the logistics partner YT. It does not include production, customs clearance or delivery to your address, which are set out separately. Ports of loading: Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen (Yantian), Guangzhou (Nansha) or Qingdao — chosen for your shipment. On CMA CGM’s Red Sea Express 2 service the published transit to Aqaba is 27–33 days (Shekou 27, Ningbo 31, Shanghai 33; October 2025 schedule), and the current rotation shows up to 43 days from Ningbo. From Aqaba to Amman it is 330 km by the Desert Highway. |
| Air | The air transit according to the logistics partner — where it starts and ends, which stages it covers and the overall schedule — is confirmed in the quotation. Toys with lithium cells may be subject to air freight restrictions; the quotation says so for each such item. |
| Arrival | Aqaba is Jordan’s seaport: its development corporation describes the port community as twelve terminals across thirty-two berths, with the container terminal run under a long-term partnership with a global operator and a capacity of 1.5 million containers a year. Air cargo arrives at Queen Alia International Airport, which its operator says handles 99% of the Kingdom’s air cargo. The port of arrival for your shipment is confirmed in the quotation. |
| Before dispatch | Production of the run (5–25 days depending on the order quantity), inspection and consolidation. The place of inspection and consolidation depends on the factories in your order and is confirmed in the quotation. |
| Amman | Amman is inland, so a sea shipment reaches it by road from the port of arrival — commonly Aqaba. Air cargo arrives at Queen Alia International Airport. These are possible routes, not a service already booked for you: the quotation names the port of arrival that applies, the route, the clearance and the delivery. The sea transit quoted is between the ports confirmed in the quotation and does not include production, customs clearance or the road leg to your address. |
| Seasonal peaks | Factories close for about two to four weeks around Chinese New Year, and Golden Week (1–7 October) adds time to production and sailings. In Jordan the fixed dates are New Year on 1 January, Labour Day on 1 May, Independence Day on 25 May and Christmas on 25 December; the Islamic holidays move with the Hijri calendar, and the weekend is Friday and Saturday. Place orders for those peaks early. |
| Cost | Quoted for your order: goods, freight, customs clearance, conformity documents and delivery are listed separately. |
More details: Duty, sales tax and conformity — rules and sources
Scope of this section: ordinary import of children’s toys for the domestic Jordanian market. Jordan is not a member of the Gulf customs union, so the Gulf common tariff and the Gulf conformity marking do not govern an import here — Jordan applies its own customs law, its own tariff and its own technical regulations. Jordan also has free zones and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. Naming a zone does not by itself settle the duty or the tax: the status of the zone, the status and licence of the consignee, and the terms on which the goods enter are separate questions, checked separately for a particular delivery, and any relief enters the quotation only once it is confirmed to apply to your case. Temporary admission and re-export follow their own procedures and are quoted separately.
Customs duty. Jordan publishes an integrated customs tariff, and under heading 9503 it shows 5% on the toy lines: radio-controlled model aircraft and their accessories; toys in the form of electric trains, including their track, signals and other accessories, and remote-control cars; children’s toys in the form of guns firing bead pellets; children’s toys containing sweets; and the residual line that covers tricycles, scooters, dolls’ carriages, dolls, other toys, scale models and puzzles. One line in the same heading carries 0% — parts of dolls imported by factories as production inputs. That is a line for a manufacturer bringing in components, not a route for a company importing finished toys for sale, and we do not plan an order around it. Every line of your order is classified at its full code and its rate is shown line by line in the quotation.
What the duty is charged on. Under the customs law the value declared is the transaction value, and the additions to it include the cost of transport of the goods to the border entry point together with the loading, unloading, handling and insurance costs associated with that transport. The freight and the insurance to the entry point therefore sit inside the value the duty is calculated on. Values declared in a foreign currency are converted into dinars at the Central Bank rate on the date the declaration is registered.
An example, with its assumptions stated. A customs value of $12,000 is assumed for the example and already includes the freight and the insurance to the entry point. The selected item is assumed to carry the 5% duty rate, so the duty is $600. The sales tax is then calculated on $12,600, assuming no other import fees or taxes enter the base before clearance: 16% of $12,600 is $2,016. Duty and tax together are $2,616 in this example — that is the duty and the tax only, not the full cost of clearance and delivery, which also covers the declaration, the certification of documents, handling, any storage and the road leg. The outcome depends on how the goods are classified, on the customs value accepted at clearance and on the charges that apply, so the figures for your order are given in the quotation.
General sales tax at 16%. The law charges the general tax at 16% on the supply or importation of goods. For imported goods the base is set out plainly: the tax is chargeable by reference to the value taken for determining the customs duties under the tariff tables in force, plus any other import fees and taxes imposed on the goods before clearance. The tax becomes due at the clearance stage, at the rate in force on the date the customs declaration is registered, and it is collected with the customs duties. The law also zero-rates goods sold to free zones and duty-free shops — whether that applies to a particular delivery depends on the zone, the consignee and the terms of entry, and is checked separately. This is the position as at 22 October 2026.
Documents attached to the declaration. Every declaration encloses an original itemized invoice stating the description of the goods, the prices and the origin, together with the other original documents the declaration calls for; the published law allows these originals in paper or in electronic form. Imported goods are subject to proof of origin, and the department may require further evidence of origin where the certificate presented is in doubt. Where the originals are not available at clearance, the law provides for release against a cash deposit or a bank guarantee, with the documents produced afterwards within the period it sets. Two things we deliberately do not state as fixed: the size of that security, and whether the invoice must in addition be certified by the chamber of commerce of the city of export or by a Jordanian consular mission. The customs law has been amended more than once and the editions in public circulation differ on both points; what governs is the consolidated edition in force from 29 June 2025. So the certification actually required for your shipment, and the terms of any security, are confirmed against that edition before dispatch — and we plan that paperwork with the shipment rather than leave it to the border.
What else the department may ask for. Beyond the declaration itself the department may request contracts, correspondence and other material relating to the transaction, including the documentary credit. Values declared in a foreign currency are converted into dinars at the Central Bank rate on the date the declaration is registered.
Toy safety in Jordan: the act, the standards and the check. Three different things, and keeping them apart is what makes the subject usable. There is no Gulf conformity marking here.
The act. The Standards and Metrology Law No. 22 of 2000 and its amendments makes conformity with the applicable Jordanian technical regulation mandatory, and it is the law the standards organization acts under against non-conforming toys — in July 2026 the national news agency reported it seizing children’s toys under exactly that law. Jordan has also issued separate instructions on the safety of toys: the WTO trade policy review of Jordan lists toy safety instructions among the instruments Jordan notified and dates the notification of instructions to 3 November 2010. Their current consolidated text we have not been able to open from an official source, so we do not paraphrase their provisions — what they require of a particular item is settled in the per-item check before dispatch.
The standards. The organization’s own catalogue lists the Jordanian JS 71 series as the current editions for toys. The parts a buyer meets most often are part 1 on mechanical and physical properties, approved in December 2023 and written for toys for children under 14; part 2 on flammability; and part 3 on the migration of certain elements. Further parts cover narrower groups — chemical and experimental sets, finger paints, activity toys for domestic use, olfactory and cosmetic kits, domestic trampolines — and alongside the series the catalogue carries JS 62115 for electric toys and JS 2375-1 for inflatable toys. Which of them applies follows from what your item actually is: a standard being in the catalogue does not by itself make it mandatory for every toy, and we do not treat the catalogue as a list of requirements for your order. Marking, age labelling, warnings and instructions for the selected toy are checked against the applicable Jordanian regulatory requirements and standards; any changes needed to the packaging and the accompanying information are agreed before the order is confirmed.
The check. The standards organization controls the goods that are imported into Jordan through its border control department, which keeps offices spread at the borders and at the customs centres. Imported goods are physically inspected and representative samples are drawn and examined to establish that they comply with the Jordanian technical regulations, the instructions and the related legislation, as part of completing the customs declaration — so an inspection and a sample are a normal possibility, not an exception. For each selected item we settle before dispatch which requirements apply, which documents are needed and whether the test reports available are acceptable; we do not promise a particular certificate before that check. Having the documents in order does not remove the inspection at the border.
What the seller does. For each selected item, the quotation states which conformity documents exist, which can be obtained and what obtaining them takes. Any additional testing, marking or registration, their cost and lead times are agreed before the order is confirmed. Where testing is needed, it can be arranged close to the factory; the required tests follow the regulation that applies.
Documents that travel with the goods. You receive a commercial invoice for the amount you actually paid, a packing list with weights and carton dimensions, the bill of lading or the air waybill, and the conformity documents provided for by the agreed supply scheme. Before the order is confirmed we agree, for each selected item, which documents are needed and whether they can be provided — we do not promise a document whose availability has not been established. The original itemized invoice stating the description, the prices and the origin travels with every shipment. We do not issue an invoice for a value other than the amount paid: an understated invoice is a risk carried by the importer, because the authority can revalue the shipment and act against the company that declared it.
What the importer does. Your company in Jordan is the importer and places the goods on the market. The customs declaration is filed electronically and the required documents are attached to it; the port community at Aqaba works with paperless clearance in the customs system. The duty and the sales tax are paid at the clearance stage before the goods are released. Unless your quotation says otherwise, the duty, the sales tax, any certification or document fees and any port storage are on the importer’s account, and the delivery term is named in the quotation and in the contract.
Radio-controlled toys and toys with batteries. A toy with a radio transmitter — a remote control, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi — may need a separate telecom approval in addition to the toy rules, and toys with lithium cells may meet battery requirements and air-freight restrictions. For every such item the quotation states what applies and who arranges it.

Payment, inspection, defects
More details: Payment, inspection and claims — details
Who is who. OPTTOYSCHINA is the online storefront of Yifeng Group (艺丰集团) and Chinese toy factories. The seller’s team in China confirms product specifications, prepares the quotation and agrees the supply terms with you; the contract and the invoice carry its full legal details. The logistics partner YT carries out the agreed shipment from Guangzhou. Claims and refunds are handled by the seller.
Payment in two stages. A 30–50% advance after the order is confirmed; the balance before dispatch from the warehouse named in your quotation, which for most orders is the Guangzhou warehouse, once you have received the photo and video report on your cargo. Payment is made in USD directly to the seller, Yifeng Group, in China. For visitors in Jordan the site shows prices in Jordanian dinars, and the display can be switched to yuan, dollars or euros; payment to the seller is in US dollars. The seller’s full details are given in the invoice and the contract, together with the governing law and the procedure for disputes; the contract is provided before you pay the advance.
Inspection before dispatch. Each order is inspected before it is shipped: quantity, item numbers, packaging, appearance and random functional checks; you get the photos and video before dispatch. The balance is paid only after you confirm the report. If the report shows a discrepancy for an item and you do not accept it, the item is replaced or the advance for that item is refunded. The place of inspection and consolidation depends on the factories in your order and is confirmed in the quotation.
Claims after receipt. Photograph or film the goods and the packaging and send the claim through the contacts on this page within 2 days of receipt. The seller replies within 3 business days. The acceptable defect rate is 2% of the batch — counted against the whole batch, not against each item number separately — and defects above it are compensated as agreed by both parties: replacement, refund or a discount on the next order. Refunds are paid within 14 days of the claim decision. Replacement shipping is at the seller’s expense. The three business days are working days in China, where the seller’s office is closed for Chinese New Year and for 1–7 October. Safety of the goods is a separate matter: it is covered by the conformity documents, not by this tolerance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order wholesale toys from China with delivery to Amman?
Yes. Mix catalogue items from different factories in one order from 2,000 CNY, each item in full factory cartons. The sea and air transit to Jordan, the clearance and the delivery to your address in Amman are agreed in the quotation.
How does cargo reach Amman?
Amman is inland, so a sea shipment reaches it by road from the port of arrival — commonly Aqaba, Jordan’s seaport, whose development corporation describes the port community as twelve terminals across thirty-two berths, with a container terminal of 1.5 million containers a year run under a long-term partnership with a global operator. Air cargo arrives at Queen Alia International Airport, which its operator says handles 99% of the Kingdom’s air cargo. These are possible routes: the quotation names the port of arrival that applies, the route, the clearance and the delivery. The sea transit quoted is between the ports confirmed in the quotation; production, customs clearance and the road leg to your address are separate and are set out in the quotation.
What is the minimum order?
2,000 CNY in total per order. Each item is ordered in full factory cartons; the pieces per carton are shown on the product card. There is no need to order a full container.
Who is the seller, and what does OPTTOYSCHINA do?
The seller on the contract and the invoice is Yifeng Group (艺丰集团) in China. OPTTOYSCHINA is the online storefront of Yifeng Group and Chinese toy factories; the seller’s team in China confirms specifications, prepares the quotation and agrees the supply terms with you. Each product card shows the manufacturer of that item.
What are the customs duty and taxes on toys?
Two charges, and they stack. The duty is 5% on the toy lines of heading 9503 in Jordan’s integrated customs tariff; one line in the same heading is at 0%, for parts of dolls imported by factories as production inputs, which is a manufacturer’s line rather than a route for a trading company. The value the duty is charged on is the transaction value with the transport, loading, unloading, handling and insurance to the border entry point added, so the freight sits inside it. On top comes the general sales tax at 16%, and the law sets its base as the value used for the customs duty plus any other import fees and taxes imposed before clearance. On an assumed customs value of $12,000, which already includes the freight and the insurance, and at the 5% duty rate for the selected item, the duty is $600 and the tax is 16% of $12,600, or $2,016 — $2,616 of duty and tax in this example, not the full cost of clearance and delivery. Both fall due at the clearance stage, at the rates in force on the day the declaration is registered. The outcome depends on the classification, on the customs value accepted at clearance and on the charges that apply.
Which conformity documents do toys need?
Two sets of papers, and they are settled before the goods leave. For customs: an original itemized invoice showing the description, the prices and the origin, with the class of goods also in Arabic when the invoice is in a foreign language, and proof of origin; the law allows the originals in paper or electronic form, and provides a security route if they are not ready at clearance. For the product: the applicable Jordanian regulatory requirements and standards — for toys the JS 71 series, plus JS 62115 for electric toys — and the document agreed for that item in the supply scheme. The standards organization controls imported goods through its offices at the borders and at the customs centres: it inspects the goods and draws samples when the declaration is completed, so papers in order do not remove that check. There is no Gulf conformity marking in Jordan. Labelling of toys must be in Arabic. For each selected item we settle before dispatch which standard applies and which document is needed; we do not promise a particular certificate, or a document whose availability has not been established, before that check.
I sell on a Jordanian marketplace — can you prepare the goods for that?
A marketplace adds requirements on top of the import ones, it does not replace them. The goods still have to be cleared, the retail pack has to carry what the applicable Jordanian requirements and the marketplace ask for — the warnings and safety information, the age labelling, the country of origin and the importer’s details — and each item usually needs its own barcode. Toy labelling must be in Arabic; what exactly goes on the pack, and whether other languages are added, is confirmed for your items against the applicable requirements and the marketplace rules before the order is confirmed. Send the marketplace name and the item numbers: the quotation states what we put on the goods and the packaging in China and what your company arranges in Jordan.
Which currency do I pay in?
In USD, directly to the seller, Yifeng Group, in China. For visitors in Jordan the site shows prices in Jordanian dinars, and the display can be switched to yuan, dollars or euros; payment to the seller is in US dollars. The seller’s full details are given in the invoice and the contract.
Do I have to pay everything upfront?
No. A 30–50% advance after the order is confirmed; the exact advance is fixed in the quotation. The balance is paid before dispatch, after you receive the photo and video report.
What if the goods arrive with a defect?
Send the claim through the contacts on this page within 2 days of receipt, with photos or video; the seller replies within 3 business days. The acceptable defect rate is 2% of the batch; defects above it are compensated as agreed: replacement, refund or a discount on the next order. Refunds are paid within 14 days of the decision; replacement shipping is at the seller’s expense.
Can you make toys under my brand?
Yes: your logo and Arabic packaging on a catalogue model, a modified model, a new product from your design or sample, or production with your own mould after a technical check. Indicative quantities start from 1,000 units per model; the minimum for your product is confirmed after the factory reviews the specifications. Before the run we assess how your changes affect safety, marking and whether the test reports already held still apply; any further testing and documents are agreed before the order is confirmed.
How does this compare with a wholesale market in Amman?
These are different buying scenarios. A local wholesaler may suit an urgent purchase when the goods you need are in stock there, already imported and certified. For planned sourcing from China, OPTTOYSCHINA offers a mixed catalogue order from several factories from 2,000 CNY under one contract, inspection with photos and video before dispatch, and options for custom manufacturing under your own brand. Compare quotations for the same specifications, quantities, documentation and delivery scope.
Send your list — we will quote the order for Amman
Item numbers from the catalogue, quantities and the delivery address in Amman. For your own product — a link, a photo or a description and the quantity. The team replies during business hours; China is five hours ahead of Jordan.
